What does Final Round AI do, in its own words?

Final Round AI sells live help during the call, plus practice interviews and automatic debriefs. Its homepage, checked October 24, 2026, says Interview CoPilot "listens to your live interview and delivers real-time answers in a private window only you can see." Its Stealth Mode section reads "100% invisible" and "100% undetectable."

Final Round AI's homepage adds that CoPilot's windows "are hidden from screen sharing and recording" in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and other apps. This list did not test that claim. What interviewers can and can't spot is covered, with sources, in can interviewers detect AI copilots.

Final Round AI's subscription page lists a Monthly Plan at $150 a month and a Yearly Plan at $25 a month, billed annually. Its pricing page says "There is no free trial" and that live sessions need an active Pro subscription. The free plan covers interview prep management, and the subscription page lists a "Basic AI interview report" on it.

The practice and debrief parts are useful on their own. The Interview Debrief page says the write-up is produced automatically "when a live or practice session ends." Most of the alternatives below replace that part of Final Round AI: the work before and after the real call.

Why look for an alternative to Final Round AI?

The usual reason is the live help. Employers that publish a rule ask candidates to keep AI out of a live interview unless they allow it. If you want practice or feedback and don't need answers suggested to you during the call, a cheaper or free tool covers that work.

Anthropic's guidance for candidates, checked October 24, 2026, invites you to use Claude to "research Anthropic, practice your answers, and prepare questions for us." For live interviews it asks for "no AI assistance unless we indicate otherwise." Greenhouse's guidelines ask candidates to "not use AI to supplement your performance in a live interview unless otherwise instructed or agreed upon." They add that a candidacy "may be disqualified" if AI is used outside the guidelines without disclosure.

More employers are collected in employer policies on AI in interviews. Whether live help counts as cheating is covered in is using AI in a job interview cheating. The documented consequences are in what happens if you're caught using an AI copilot.

Which alternative is best for free practice?

Huru is the strongest free option, because its site says every feature for job seekers costs nothing, including a live AI interviewer. Yoodli's free Starter plan and Aced's free Basic plan are smaller. Each one gives you enough to test whether practicing with the tool helps before you pay anything.

Huru scores every answer out of 100 on relevance, structure, specificity, impact and articulation, according to its homepage on October 24, 2026. It covers 242+ career roles. Because the scoring stays the same each time, you can tell whether a rewritten answer is better. Verdict: start here if money is tight.

Yoodli's pricing page gives the free Starter plan "Up to 5 roleplays total," and any session over 30 seconds counts as one. Pro is $8 a month, billed annually, for up to 10 roleplays a week. Starter also gives feedback on recordings you upload, which helps after a practice round. Verdict: good for speaking practice, with a small free allowance.

Aced, formerly Exponent, gives 5 peer mocks a month on its free Basic plan with no credit card. Pramp's site says that as of July 2024 all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Aced Practice, where two peers interview each other for 30 to 45 minutes and then trade feedback. AI mock interviews and AI interview feedback come with the Expert AI plan, listed at $20 a month. Verdict: peer practice for tech and product roles.

Which alternative is best for technical interviews?

For software engineering rounds, interviewing.io and Hello Interview go deeper than general practice tools. The interviewing.io site offers a free AI interviewer and paid mocks with human engineers. Hello Interview focuses on system design and includes AI practice interviews, each ending in a written report, with its Premium plans.

The interviewing.io FAQ says its AI Interviewer is free, "simulates a FAANG-style interview," and can do both coding and system design. Mocks with human engineers "start at $179," with a full refund if you're unhappy. Verdict: the strongest pick for engineers who want a human mock.

Hello Interview's pricing page lists 1 Month Access at $47, shown discounted from $59, and 1 Year Access at $89. Premium includes 1 live practice interview with a month, 2 with a year and 10 with lifetime access, which costs $299. Each practice interview ends with a hire or no-hire decision for your target level and a written report. Verdict: best for system design rounds.

Is Big Interview a good Final Round AI alternative?

Big Interview suits people who want a structured course more than a stream of mock questions. It costs $39 for a 30-day subscription, with a 100% refund if you don't see results within 30 days. Before paying, check whether your university or employer already gives you access to it.

Big Interview's personal pricing page, checked October 24, 2026, lists three plans: $39 for 30 days, $99 for three months and $299 for lifetime access. Its enterprise page says more than 700 organizations use it, "including universities, workforce agencies, nonprofits, and leading employers." Verdict: a solid course, and possibly free through your school. The full comparison is in Prept vs Big Interview.

Where does Prept fit among the alternatives?

Prept covers one part of what Final Round AI does: the review after a real interview. It transcribes a round you recorded with everyone's consent and writes a debrief that quotes the moment you lost the room. It gives no practice interviews and no help during the call.

Prept's line is analysis after the call, never during it. The free tier, with no card, includes 1 interview hour transcribed and debriefed, a full resume review, 1 job posting checked, 1 tailored application and a LinkedIn headline. Search costs $29 a month or $69 a quarter, with 7 days free on a card and nothing charged until day 8, per the pricing page on October 24, 2026. Verdict: for reviewing a real round once it's over.

You don't need a paid tool for this step. The free 10-minute debrief template works from memory, and you can get your first interview debrief on your next recorded round. If you plan to record, ask to record your interview at the start of the call.

How do the alternatives compare with Final Round AI on price?

Final Round AI's lowest listed price is $25 a month on its Yearly Plan, billed annually, and its Monthly Plan costs $150. Yoodli, Aced and Prept list lower monthly prices, and Huru charges job seekers nothing. Big Interview and interviewing.io charge by the period or by the session instead.

Billing periods differ, so compare the total you'd pay. Yoodli's $8 is a monthly figure billed annually. Final Round AI's subscription page offers a 72-hour money-back guarantee on first-time Quarterly and Yearly purchases and says monthly plans are non-refundable. Prept refunds in full within 14 days if paid features are unused.

Is a live copilot ever the better choice?

Pick Final Round AI if the employer has said AI is allowed in that round and you want answers suggested during the call. Anthropic's guidance says it will be clear when AI is allowed, giving "You may use Claude for this coding challenge" as an example. In that case you'd be using the tool in the open.

Other live copilots make similar claims about staying hidden. The side-by-side pages Prept vs Final Round AI and Prept vs LockedIn AI go row by row. Free interview feedback tools lists every free tier in the category, and AI interview help that isn't cheating covers practice uses that are allowed.
