What does Careerflow cost compared with Prept?
Careerflow's Premium page, checked October 24, 2026, offers four billing periods. Premium costs $8.99 a week, $23.99 a month, $54.99 a quarter or $172.99 a year. Premium Plus, which adds the AI Mock Interview and Interview Analysis, costs $19.99 a week, $44.99 a month, $119.99 a quarter or $299.99 a year.
Prept's Search plan is $29 a month or $69 a quarter. Against Careerflow Premium, Prept costs $5.01 more a month and $14.01 more a quarter. Against Premium Plus, the plan with the interview features, Prept costs $15.99 less a month and $50.99 less a quarter. Careerflow's yearly plan has no Prept equivalent.
Watch the weekly price. At $8.99, four weeks of Premium cost $35.96, which is more than the $23.99 monthly plan. The weekly plan only makes sense if you need it for a week or two. Careerflow's FAQ says you keep Premium access to the end of the billing period after you cancel, and offers "a refund within 7 days of purchase."
Prept refunds in full within 14 days if you haven't used the paid features. Its 7 free days need a card, and nothing is charged until day 8. Careerflow's Basic plan needs no payment, and Prept's free tier needs no card.
What do you get free on each, including one tailored resume?
Each free plan includes one resume, but they cover different ground. Careerflow's Premium FAQ says "you can create one resume for free and export it at no cost," with basic builder features. Prept's free tier tailors one application to one posting, written from facts you confirmed, after a full review of your resume.
Careerflow's free resume is a build: one document, made with the basic resume builder, which you can export. The free plan's list also includes "Resume Analysis (basic)" and a Skill Gap Analyzer limited to a score. Unlimited AI resumes and the AI Resume ATS Optimizer are Premium features.
Prept's free tailored resume is aimed at one job. It reads your resume into facts, checks one posting against them, and writes the resume in that posting's order from those facts only. If the posting asks for something you can't show, you're told rather than covered for.
The rest of each free plan shows where each tool puts its weight. Careerflow's adds the Chrome extension, a recruiter and hiring manager search, a job tracker and a basic LinkedIn Optimizer. Prept's adds a LinkedIn headline and one interview hour, transcribed and debriefed.
What is Careerflow good at?
Careerflow is strongest on LinkedIn and on the busywork of a search. Its LinkedIn Optimizer scans your profile through the Chrome extension, scores it, and walks you through each section with fixes. It also tracks applications and contacts, autofills forms and finds recruiters, all on the free plan in some form.
The LinkedIn tool is the part most people will notice. The page describes "Section-wise Fixes," an "Overall Profile Score" and an AI writer for your headline and About section. Prept also writes LinkedIn profiles, but you paste the result in yourself, and it never logs in to LinkedIn. If you want guidance inside the profile as you edit it, Careerflow does that.
Careerflow also sells human help. Its LinkedIn Makeover page offers a mentor-reviewed profile, listed on October 24, 2026 at $79 a month for students and $99 a month for under 7 years' experience. Prept has no human coaching.
How does Careerflow fit the interview loop compared with Prept?
Careerflow helps before an interview, and Prept helps after one. Careerflow's AI Mock Interview, on Premium Plus, asks role-specific questions with follow-ups and gives question-by-question feedback and speech analysis. Prept transcribes a real round you recorded with everyone's consent and writes a debrief that quotes the moment you lost the room.
Practice and review answer different questions. A mock tells you how you handle questions the tool chose. A debrief tells you what happened in the round that actually decided your candidacy. If you've had several interviews and no offers, the second question is usually the one you can't answer alone.
Prept has no mock interviews and gives no help during a call. To get a debrief, ask to record your interview at the start and accept a no. Without a recording, the free 10-minute debrief template works from memory, and what an interview debrief is explains the method.
How does Careerflow compare with other job search tools?
Careerflow sits with the toolkits that cover the application side of a search: LinkedIn, tracking and resume building. Each sibling comparison uses the same 11 rows and prices checked October 24, 2026, so you can set Careerflow against tools with a narrower focus.
For tracking, Prept vs Teal covers a tool whose pricing page leads with unlimited job tracking, and Prept vs Huntr covers a tool that calls itself a job application tracker. For practice before a round, Prept vs Big Interview covers a training platform with lessons and practice tools. For resume design, see Prept vs Enhancv.
Which should you pick, Careerflow or Prept?
Pick Careerflow if your LinkedIn profile needs work, you're tracking dozens of applications, or you want to practice with an AI interviewer before a round. Pick Prept if your resume needs figures you can defend, or if you're getting interviews and losing them. Many searches need both kinds of help.
Start free on both. Careerflow's Basic plan covers the extension, the tracker and a LinkedIn scan. Prept's free tier covers a resume review, one tailored application and one interview hour debriefed. You can get your first interview debrief free on your next round.
