How do Enhancv and Prept compare feature by feature?

Enhancv is a resume builder that puts design first, with a large template library, cover letters and a job tracker. Prept writes each resume only from facts you confirmed and debriefs interviews after the call. The table below uses the same 11 rows as every Prept comparison, with Enhancv's column taken from its own site on October 24, 2026.

Enhancv's column draws on its pricing page, its homepage feature list and its AI Interview Help page. Prept's column comes from Prept's pricing page. Both were read on October 24, 2026, and plans change, so check again before you pay.

What does Enhancv cost compared with Prept?

Enhancv's pricing page, checked October 24, 2026, lists Pro at $39 for a month, $69 for 3 months and $99 for 6 months, all in US dollars. Its page title advertises plans "starting from $16.50," which is the 6-month price spread across six months. Prept's Search plan is $29 a month or $69 a quarter.

So the two quarterly prices match at $69. On monthly billing Enhancv costs $10 more than Prept. Over six months Enhancv is cheaper, at $99 against $138 for two Prept quarters. If your search runs long and the resume is your main problem, that gap is real money.

The free plans work differently. Enhancv's free plan is "Valid for 7 days" and comes with basic sections, a cap of 12 section items and Enhancv branding on the resume. Prept's free tier has no time limit and covers one of everything: a full resume review, one posting checked, one application tailored and one interview hour debriefed.

Refunds differ too. Enhancv's FAQ says that if something breaks and it's Enhancv's fault, "we can offer you a refund." Prept refunds in full within 14 days if you haven't used the paid features. Prept's free week needs a card, and nothing is charged until day 8.

What is Enhancv good at?

Enhancv is good at making a resume look finished. Its template gallery lists 90+ free and premium templates, and its homepage lists 20+ sections, 30+ languages and a cover letter generator in a matching design. If presentation is what holds your resume back, Enhancv is built for that, and Prept has no template gallery at all.

It also takes invented facts seriously. Its homepage says the tailoring is "Built from your real experience only, with no AI hallucinations or invented facts." Its writing assistant, the page says, "drops in a placeholder instead of inventing the figure" when a line needs a number it can't know. That's the right instinct.

The tailoring itself asks you to pick three to five qualifications from the job ad, then shows every change highlighted and unapplied until you accept it. Enhancv also bundles a job tracker, a job search across what it calls 1M+ live ads for Pro users, and resume translation. For someone who wants one tool for the whole application side, that's a full kit.

How is Prept's fact-led tailoring different?

The difference is what each tool counts. Enhancv counts templates, sections and design options. Prept counts facts: it reads your resume into facts you confirm, each figure with what it measured and where it came from, then writes every tailored resume from those facts alone. When a posting asks for something you can't back up, you're told.

That matters most when you're about to be asked about your resume out loud. A number on the page is a promise that you can explain it in round two. Prept's approach is that numbers you can't stand behind are left off rather than invented, and the posting's gaps are shown to you plainly instead of being written around.

Enhancv's placeholder is a good guard against a made-up figure, but it still relies on you to fill the blank with something true. Prept asks for the figure up front, records where it came from and refuses to write one you never gave. The reasons AI tools reach for made-up figures are set out in why AI resume tools invent numbers.

What Prept doesn't have is just as clear. It has no templates gallery, no cover letters, no job board and no Chrome extension. If you need any of those, Enhancv or a tool like it covers them, and Prept's resume can sit alongside it.

Does either tool help with the interview itself?

Both help, at different points. Enhancv helps before: its AI Interview Help builds likely questions, AI-drafted answers from your resume, STAR stories and a short company brief. Prept helps after: it transcribes a round you recorded with everyone's consent and writes a debrief that quotes the moment you lost the room.

Enhancv's interview page says the free plan includes "Up to 3 reports with up to 10 questions each," with Pro adding unlimited questions and export. The answers are drafted by AI from your resume, so read each one against what you actually did. A drafted story that sounds better than your real one is the story you'll struggle to repeat in round three.

Prept has no mock interviews and gives no help during a call. Its debrief starts once the round is over and you have a recording. To get one, ask to record your interview at the start, and accept a no. Without a recording, the free 10-minute debrief template works from memory.

If you used Enhancv's STAR stories across several rounds, check that the details stayed the same each time. Did my story change between interviews gives a five-item check for that.

How does Enhancv compare with other resume tools?

Enhancv belongs with the design-led builders, where the selling point is how the page looks and how fast you can finish it. Its closest rivals sell templates, cover letters and trackers too. Each sibling comparison below uses the same 11 rows, so you can line Enhancv up against the others on prices checked October 24, 2026.

If you're weighing Enhancv against similar builders, Prept vs Kickresume covers a builder with an $8 a month yearly plan, and Prept vs Resume.io and Zety covers two more template-led tools. For keyword scans, see Prept vs Jobscan.

If LinkedIn is the bigger gap, Prept vs Careerflow compares a tool whose free plan includes a LinkedIn optimizer. If tracking applications matters most, Prept vs Teal covers a tool whose pricing page leads with unlimited job tracking.

Which should you pick, Enhancv or Prept?

Pick Enhancv if you want a resume that looks designed, a matching cover letter and a tracker, and you trust yourself to check every AI-drafted line. Pick Prept if your resume needs facts you can defend in an interview, or if you're getting interviews and losing them. Plenty of people could use both.

A sensible order is to start with the free plans. Enhancv's lasts seven days, so use it when you have a resume to build that week. Prept's has no time limit and includes one interview debrief, so save it for your next real round. Then pay only for the tool whose free run answered your question.

If the resume looks fine and the interviews are where it goes wrong, the debrief is the part Enhancv doesn't offer. You can get your first interview debrief free on your next round, with consent asked before every recording.
