How do Prept and Jobright compare, feature by feature?
Jobright is a job search tool built around matching: it ranks openings against your resume, tailors it and can apply for you. Prept works on the other end of the loop, debriefing real interviews after the call. The table uses the same 11 rows as every Prept comparison, with Jobright's column from its own site on October 24, 2026.

|---|---|---|
| Help during a live interview | No, by design (analysis after the call, never during it) | Not stated on its site |
| Practice or mock interviews | No | Yes: AI mock interviews, by its comparison pages, and a bank of 6,656+ questions it says candidates reported |

| Lowest paid price (USD) | $29 a month, or $69 a quarter | Not shown publicly; the pricing page asks you to sign up |

Jobright's column draws on its AI job match page, its resume builder page, its job tracker page, its interview questions page and its own comparison with Huntr. Prept's column comes from Prept's pricing page. All were read on October 24, 2026.
What does Jobright cost compared with Prept?
Jobright shows no job seeker prices to a visitor who isn't signed in. On October 24, 2026, its pricing page showed only a prompt to join. Prept's Search plan costs $29 a month or $69 a quarter, with 7 free days that need a card and nothing charged until day 8.
What Jobright does publish is how its paid plan, Jobright Turbo, renews. Its Refund and Cancellation Policy says Turbo subscriptions "renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the next renewal date." Its terms of service list weekly, monthly, quarterly and six-month billing periods, with the amount shown at checkout.
Jobright's own 2025 comparison post, published July 11, 2025, gives $29.99 a month in one place and $19.99 a month in another. Treat both as out of date. See the price at checkout before you enter a card, and check which billing period is selected.
How do Jobright's refunds and cancellation work?
You can cancel Turbo at any time from your Jobright account, and the benefits last until the end of the period you paid for. For a first purchase, a full refund can be requested within 7 calendar days on monthly, quarterly and six-month plans, and within 24 hours on weekly plans.
Those windows come with limits. The policy says eligibility "may be limited where an account has made substantial use of Turbo benefits," or used a live coaching session. If a plan renews by mistake, you have 3 calendar days from the renewal charge to ask. Refund requests go through the support option in your account.
Prept's terms are simpler to state. Prept refunds in full within 14 days if you haven't used the paid features, and cancelling before day 8 of the free week costs nothing.
What does Jobright do well?
Jobright is strongest at the top of the search: finding openings that fit. Its AI job match page says it compares "your skills, experience, seniority, industry background, and preferences with each job's requirements," and shows a Match Score with the gaps to check before you apply. Prept doesn't search for jobs at all.
The same page says it filters "suspicious and outdated listings" and sends alerts when new roles match. Its homepage says it has "3,000,000+" users, and its resume page counts "8,000,000+" total jobs. Those are Jobright's own figures, and this page didn't check them.
Jobright also covers steps Prept leaves out entirely. It writes cover letters, finds people at a company who might refer you, and offers an AI agent that applies on your behalf. If you're early in a search and need more interviews, that range is the reason to choose it.
What do Jobright's own comparison pages say?
Jobright publishes "Jobright vs" pages that score itself against other tools. Its page on Huntr gives Jobright 20 out of 20 and Huntr 7 out of 20. Those scores are Jobright's own, set by a competitor, so read them as marketing. Prept doesn't score tools, for the same reason.
The pages are still useful as a map of what Jobright says it offers: AI mock interviews, live career coach consultations, LinkedIn profile optimization and referral discovery. Check any claim about the other tool against that tool's own site. Jobright's Huntr page marks AI cover letters "Only in Jobright," while Huntr's pricing page lists AI cover letters on its Pro plan.
Prept's own pages follow the same rule from the other side: every cell for another tool comes from that tool's site, dated. If you're weighing Huntr as well, Prept vs Huntr covers it with Huntr's prices.
Where does each tool stop in the interview loop?
Jobright's interview help comes before the call: question banks by company, AI mock interviews and talking points. Prept works after the call. It transcribes a round you recorded with consent and writes a debrief that quotes the moment you lost the room. That's the split between job matching and the interview loop.
Jobright's interview questions page says it holds "6656+" questions from 328+ companies, "sourced from verified interview experiences reported by real candidates." Practice like that helps you prepare. It can't tell you what happened in your own round, because it never heard it.
To review a round without any tool, use the free interview debrief template. To learn what a debrief should cover, read what an interview debrief is.
Which one should you pick?
Pick Jobright if your problem is finding the right openings and getting enough applications out. Pick Prept if you already get interviews and keep losing them, or if you want every resume line tied to facts you can defend. They do different jobs, so using both is reasonable.
For other tools that sit on the application side, Prept vs Teal covers a resume builder with a free tracker, and Prept vs Careerflow covers resume and LinkedIn tools. Prept's free tier debriefs one interview hour with no card. Start Prept free after your next round.
